My（family/home）city, Ambato（安巴托，厄瓜多尔城市）, and New York City share many（features/specialties/characteristics/natures）. However, the two cities are different from three significant respects: family life, education, and（economic/economical）position.

The family of my city is composed with grandparents, parents, and children. Children are（raised/risen） by parents, who look for them carefully. Parents give their kids much love, and a（feeling/sense）of responsibility for the future. Parents also teach children to show respect to old people. Children depend atparental guidance until they are mature（成熟）enough to work out things by themselves.

Educationally, my home city has an average system. It has few schools; therefore, every child in a neighborhood knows eachanother. School children have to do many assignments（作业）inside and outside the classrooms. Yet, school children are not allowed to use（electronic/electric）machines, such as computers, calculators（计算器）, etc. By not being permitted to use this type of equipment, children can add, subtract（减）, multiply（乘）, divide（除）, etc. by hand. By addition, the government cannot supply the advanced mechanical devices（机械装置）because their（tall/high）cost. Also, professors teach moral values（道德观）which are very important in the youngsters’ lives.

In terms about（economic/economical）situation, my home city is worse than ever. An example is the high deficit（赤字）.

In contrast with my home city, New York’s family life is more（flexible/liberal/free）and the children are less dependent. When a childreachesmaturity, he will leave the house of his parents and find a place to live（alone/lonely）. Adolescents（青少年）rarely （keep/follow/listen）orders given by their parents. Instead, they act the way they want to. The sense of respect for old people is almost gone. Youngsters go out mostly without getting their parents’（acceptance/permission/admission）.

New York’s system of education is excellent because there is advanced technology.（Electronic/Electric）machines are being used in classrooms. These machines help the student（take/make/do）greatimprovementsin a short time.

Economically, New York City is considered to be one of the richest and （most powerful/most forceful/strongest）cities in the world. It has some of the world’sgreatestbanks and largest firms.

These aspects present to us a（ordinary/common/general）view of how my home city is different from New York. I hope someday these two cities can join together to help people make out their minds for a better future.
