As a lot of you may know, I'm living on my own now. I've been living on my own for almost eight months now. I live in an apartment house. I really enjoy living on my own. I can cook my own meals, clean my house, do my laundry, etc. A few weeks after I moved away from my parents' house, I got myself a part-time job making picture frames in a frame shop. I really enjoy working. It makes me feel good knowing that I can earn money to support myself by paying bills and buying groceries, etc. I guess what I'm trying to get at is that being in Special Olympics has made a difference in my life. Being in Special Olympics has helped me to become more independent. So, for a lot of you athletes out there that want to try living on your own, I say, go for it.
