Zhou Ping:
Hi, Sam. I've been trying to keep a diary
in English. Would you kindly read some of
it and help me improve it?
Sam: Keeping a diary is a great idea.
It makes you use your English regularly. But
are you sure you want me to read all your
secrets? How about just showing me the less
secret parts?
Zhou Ping: Don't worry. My boyfriend
is from my hometown. You don't know him.
Sam: OK. I'm not competing with him
anyhow. How often do you write in the diary?
Have you tried doing it at the same time every
day? Then you won't forget to do it.
Zhou Ping: That's quite true. I do
try to write in the diary almost every day,
usually in the evening.
Sam: I notice here on the third page
that you tried to write a poem in English.
What about trying some more? This one is pretty
good.
Zhou Ping: Yes, but you're the first
person who's seen it. It's my only poem and
I'm afraid my boyfriend or my roommates will
laugh at it.
Sam: Practice makes perfect. If you
write more poems please show them to me. I've
written some poetry too. Zhou Ping: What's
your poetry about? Sam: The same as yours.
