Nice to meet you.
Xia Lin: Nice to meet you too.
Daniel: It's a nice party, isn't it?
Xia Lin: Yes, I notice you found something
to drink. May I introduce you to some of my
friends? This is Lin Ling and this is Wang
Fang.
Daniel: Nice to meet you. I'm Dan (then
they chat for a while and Daniel's friends
arrive).
Xia Lin: After the party we thought
we'd all go to a movie. Would you like to
come along?
Daniel: That's great. I like movies.
What else do the students do for entertainment
here?
Xia Lin: Some of us like disco and
karaoke. Do you like them?
Daniel: Disco is fine, but I'm not
much of a singer. Maybe you and your friends
could help me learn some Chinese songs if
you're not too busy on the weekend.
Xia Lin: We could probably give it
a try. How much Chinese do you know? Daniel:
Only "Ni hao" and "Bu dong"…
