Did Obama deserve Nobel Peace Prize in terms of his accomplishment?

●Nobel Committee said in a statement: "Very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future.

●The Nobel Committee commended Obama’s "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples."

●Since taking office, Obama has cut a dynamic image on the world stage, presenting himself as a source of hope for a more peaceful world.

●Among his first actions as president, he ordered a withdrawal of American troops from Iraq in stages. He has also offered direct talks to aspiring atomic states Iran and North Korea. But at the same time, he is struggling to deal with the deadlock in the Middle East peace process and Iran's nuclear program. The war in Afghanistan also poses an ongoing challenge.
