Ruth: Well, Qing. It was great to get away, but it's good to be back again.
Qing: It really was a wonderful trip. So, which city do you like best, Beijing, Shanghai or Xi'an?
Ruth: That's hard to say. There were good things and bad things about all three cities.
Qing: Wait a minute! What bad things?
Ruth: Crowdedness, for one. Beijing and Shanghai are crowded; Xi'an is even more crowded. You can see so many people in the street.
Qing: That's true … they are all developed cities and each has a large population, and many of the streets are very narrow.
Ruth: But there are also many good things. I like the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, museums in Xi'an, and skyscrapers in Shanghai.
Qing: Yeah. The Great Wall is a symbol of China. From the museums in Xi'an we can learn about China's long history of thousands of years. And from the skyscapers in Shanghai we get to know the rapid development in China.
Ruth: I took a lot of photoes all along the way. I'll show them to my family some time later. I bet they'll like them very much. |
