(For video CDs and audio CDs)

Playing Tracks in a Particular Sequence (Program Play)

With program play, you can program up to 24 tracks on the disc in any order you choose.

Preparation:

1. Set the play mode selector on the unit to PBC OFF mode to set the unit to be regular play-back mode. (See page 16.)

2. Set the unit to the stop mode.

1 Press PROGRAM.

2 Press the numeric buttons corresponding to the track number in sequence.

①Track number

②Programmed order

To select a two-digit track number:

First press≥10/-/--and then press the numeric button corresponding to the desired track number.

Example:

15: ≥10/→1→5

20: ≥10/→2→0


3 Press->SELECT.

When all the programmed tracks have been played, the unit will automatically stop.

To cancel program play:

Press PROGRAM again.

canceling the “F” indication

It shows no further tracks can be programmed.

To confirm the programmed contents A

Press RECALL.

The display shows the programmed track numbers in the sequence you have entered.

To cancel the programmed track A

Press CLEAR (during play, press twice).

The track you programmed last will be cancelled.

To cancel all the programmed tracks A

Press A

For your reference:

During the program play, the selections play in the same order as you programmed them.

Press|<-<-PREV or NEXT->->| to skip other programmed tracks.

2. The following is part of an operation manual for personal pager dealing with batteries. Read it and answer questions that follow.

BATTERY INFORMATION
LOW-BATTERY ALERT

Whenever the pager is reset, the battery voltage is monitored. If the battery level is low, a special alternating high-low alert tone will sound. If the low-battery alert sounds, replace the mercury battery or recharge the nickel-cadmium battery. Battery life remaining after a low-battery alert is approximately three hours for nickel-cadmium batteries and eight hours for mercury batteries.

Battery Life: Battery life will vary depending upon the system. The following figures are given as a general indication of expected battery life.

Battery Installation or Replacement:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the side (closest to volume-control thumbwheel) as shown in Figure 4(a).

2. Slide the ribbed latch down so that the red indicator is visible.

3. Pull open the battery-compartment door (hinged at the bottom) as shown in Figure 4(b). Remove the old battery.

4. Place the positive end of the new battery into the compartment (see polarity marking on the housing shown in Figure 4(b)). Push the battery down until it makes contact with the + battery contact.

5. Close the battery-compartment door and slide the ribbed latch up until the red indicator no longer appears.

6. If the battery is an approved rechargeable nickel-cadmium type, charge the battery in the pager as described in the Battery Charging paragraph.
